HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR NEXT TATTOO
HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR NEXT TATTOO
Here’s how you can prepare for your tattoo so that you can have the best experience possible
✷Make sure to take care of your skin before your tattoo! Put sunscreen on and avoid getting sunburn in that area, I will not be able to tattoo over a sunburn.
✷Avoid drinking alcohol or taking any blood thinning medication the day before your appointment.
✷Get a good nights sleep, drink lots of water, and make sure to eat a meal prior to your appointment. Feel free to bring water, a blanket and snacks to your appointment!
✷Wear clothes that are comfy and also that make the area you are getting tattooed easily accessible.
✷If you are feeling unwell, please reschedule your appointment. This will not affect your deposit and will not count as your one reschedule.
✷It is important to have a clear line of communication with your artist, so if at any time during your appointment you feel unwell or uncomfortable, physically or emotionally, please let me know. We can take as much time as you need and there is no need to appear tough or anything like that. This is a safe space and I want to make everyone feel as comfortable as possible during the tattooing process.
✷If there is something you would like to request to change in your tattoo, it is important to voice that to your artist before we start the tattoo. Never feel embarrassed to do so, this tattoo is for you and you will be living with it for a very long time! I am more than happy to make any changes needed (within reason of course) to make this the tattoo you’ll love.
✷Bring headphones or a book if you would like! Listening to music, reading a book or listening to a podcast is a great way to pass the time and try to take focus off of the pain. Or you can talk to me too! I love a good convo :)
✷Don’t make any plans the day of your appointment. No matter how small your tattoo is, there is always a possibility your tattoo might take longer than you may think. In order to ensure we are in no rush and have time to finish your tattoo, I ask that you keep your day open, especially for larger pieces.
✷And lastly, please leave any guests at home. This includes friends, family and pets.
